About The Author

Melissa Sprouse Browne is a high energy executive who carries several business cards and juggles multiple successful business ventures. She is the President and Founder of
Seniors First Home Care, a family owned company providing excellent care to the elderly in both residential and institutional settings.

Her other companies include:
Real Estate School of South Carolina and South Carolina Realty (which are co-owned with her husband Chip Browne), The Marketing Division, Inc. and The CE School.

Melissa has always had a special place in her heart for seniors. Her involvement in the field of senior issues gives her a unique perspective on the challenges we all face when dealing with aging parents who need care. She's volunteered for well over a decade with the Meals on Wheels organization in her city, directed their major fundraiser for multiple years, and currently serves on their Board of Directors.

A firm believer in community service, she has volunteered with Children's Hospital of Palmetto Health and received the Governor's Year of the Child Hero Award in 2002. In February 2009, she and her husband Chip were honored by the SC Purple Heart Society for their contribution to the mission of that organization. Her previous community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for Trustus Theatre, performing in The Singing Christmas Tree at Shandon Baptist Church, and as secretary and chairman of the Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Midlands.

Melissa was chosen as one of the top "20 Under 40" business leaders in central South Carolina by The State Newspaper in 2009.
